Hi hello, I’m Lindsey Cartner (they/them)
I am a data-driven marketer and communications strategist. I combine user experience principles and agile project management with engaging writing and an eye for design to create measurable, effective marketing content and strategies.
For more than nine years, I have worked passionately in health and healthcare communications. I believe information literacy is crucial in the high-stakes landscape of health and healthcare.
I am also nonbinary, an animal shelter volunteer, a reader, a doting aunt, and a relentlessly curious human.
Expertise
Copywriting & Copyediting
Referencing user personas and audience profiles, I prioritize brand voice and tone when writing. As a dynamic marketer, I write original content, edit or rebrand legacy content, and leverage artificial intelligence (AI) tools when necessary and appropriate.
User Research & UX Design
I collect, analyze, and utilize research to inform design and strategy decisions. Integrating user research and user experience design principles into my marketing toolkit helps me better connect with audiences and develop higher-quality assets.
Project Management & Planning
I ground project plans in an understanding of who and what a project is for, develop metrics for success, and implement a receptiveness to feedback loops for adjustment and improvement. While I have experience in various methodologies, I primarily draw upon agile methods and a user-centered design framework.
Marketing & Communications Strategy
With a decade of experience in marketing and communications roles, I am an expert in marketing and communications strategy. From branding, website management, SEO, social media, digital advertising, and data visualization to tradeshow participation, recruitment, and CRM, I have a robust skillset and technology toolkit for proficient development and execution of proven internal and external communications.
Healthcare & Health Communication
Whether supporting access to flexible and affordable benefits for small businesses, indigenous tribes, and unions or summarizing the findings of a publication on genetics research, I take pride in my ability to understand and break down content into digestible content.
With the Simons Foundation, I was a researcher on two cohort registries. Initially supporting recruitment, I went on to specialize in clinical data management and visualization, supporting research communication efforts to various audiences, including families, academic researchers, and clinicians.
Currently, I support member, partner, and client communications and lead generation strategy with a pharmacy benefits management company by developing strategy and creating content for our external audiences to growth the business.
